London Olympic Stadium has been nominated for the 2012 Stirling Prize, Award for Architecture in Britain, the Royal Institute of British Architects, said Sunday.
The 80,000-seat stadium in Stratford, East London, which is the opening ceremony of the Games on Friday host, was one of six buildings for the annual award is selected.
