Canucks Calgary Flames will duel in the area for the first time, Ryan Miller and Jonas Hiller with new teams. Both signed deals of the season: Miller had a three-year $ 18 million with the United States, while Vancouver Heller Anaheim comes armed with a two-year contract worth $ 9,000,000.

In addition to the goalie duel, this competition has a couple of other interesting stories.

When these teams met in January 18 of the Vancouver Canucks stormed coach John Tortorella Calgary dressing (see below) at the first break. His anger stems from a brawl that broke out on the line and face to face after the opening of each team iced the fourth line. Tortorella was launched on 1 May after 36-35-11 Canucks just 11 of their last 41 games to win and missed the playoffs.
